Questions

What is the casual loading under the SCHADS Award?

25% on top of the minimum hourly rate for the classification (clause 10.4).

How much does a casual level 2 disability support worker get?

A casual home care employee – disability care, level 2 pay point 1, gets $36.08 an hour from 1 July 2026 and $41.49 an hour from the first full pay period on or after 1 December 2026 (Fair Work pay guides).

Sources and how this works

Casual rate = base rate × (1 + loading). The SCHADS Award sets the casual loading at 25% of the minimum hourly rate (clause 10.4). Rates are rounded to the cent as in the Fair Work pay guides.

Figures checked 24 Oct 2026. These are minimum award rates; your enterprise agreement or contract may pay more. Check the Fair Work pay guide for your award.
