Questions

What are the NDIS support budgets?

There are four kinds: core supports, capacity building supports, capital supports and recurring supports. Core supports have flexible categories; capital supports are stated supports and are not flexible.

What is the difference between core and capacity building?

Core supports help with everyday tasks like cooking, cleaning and personal care and with community activities. Capacity building funds therapy, employment supports, plan managers and support coordinators.

Are NDIS plan budgets changing?

Under the 2024 NDIS Act changes, new framework plans with a flexible budget start rolling out from April 2027.

Sources and how this works

Per week = budget ÷ the number of weeks between the plan dates. Per funding period = budget ÷ the number of funding periods in the plan. Hours = budget ÷ the hourly price (2026-27 national price limits by default; you can change them), rounded down to the quarter hour.

Figures checked 24 Oct 2026. Your plan decides which supports each budget can pay for; this is a guide to amounts, not to what is funded.
