What the fee covers
- A plan manager manages and monitors the participant’s budgets over the plan, manages NDIS claims and pays providers for delivered services, keeps records and gives regular statements (at least monthly) showing the plan’s financial position.
- Plan managers must make sure providers’ prices do not exceed the price limits, whether the provider is registered or unregistered.
- Plan managers must include the provider’s ABN (unless the provider is exempt) and a valid tax invoice with each payment request, and may have to pay back any amount not spent in line with the plan.
- For plans in the PACE system, the plan manager must be recorded as one of the participant’s “my providers” to be paid. Only the plan manager needs to be recorded for plan-managed supports.
