NDIS Price Guide 2026-27

NDIS remote and very remote price limits 2026-27

Last updated 24 October 2026 · NDIS Pricing Schedule 2026-27 · By Sarah M., Support Coordinator
In short
  • In general, NDIS remote prices are 40% higher than the national price limits (MMM6), and very remote prices are 50% higher (MMM7). For example, standard weekday personal care is $73.58 national, $103.01 remote and $110.37 very remote.
  • The NDIS Pricing Schedule 2026-27 lists remote and very remote prices next to the national price for 611 items.
  • Remoteness follows the Modified Monash Model (2023). The schedule’s Isolated Towns Modification List (Type 1) treats 17 NDIA enclaves (26 postcodes) as remote for pricing.
  • There is no loading in metropolitan areas, regional centres or regional areas (MMM1–5), but travel time limits differ.

How remote loadings show in the schedule

The schedule does not apply the loading for you: it prints three prices for each item. For 607 of the 611 items with remote prices, the remote price is exactly 40% above the national price and the very remote price exactly 50% above it, to the cent. The other 4 (01_850_0106_1_1, 07_002_0106_8_3, 07_004_0132_8_3, 10_002_0106_8_3) have a remote or very remote price one cent below the exact figure.

Some items have no remote prices: the plan management fee, and items with a notional unit price, no specified price or a quote.

Example prices: national, remote and very remote

  • The NDIS uses the 2023 Modified Monash Model from 24 November 2025. Find a location’s MMM with the Department of Health’s Health Workforce Locator or our remote area checker.
  • Face to face: the price limit is set by where the participant is when the support is delivered. A participant from a remote area who visits a provider in a city pays the city price limit.
  • Telehealth: in general, the price limit is the one for where the worker is. Participants in remote and very remote areas can agree to the remote or very remote price if they are satisfied it is value for money.
  • Non-face-to-face work and NDIA requested reports: the price limit for where the worker is.
  • In remote and very remote areas there is no travel time limit; providers can agree travel arrangements with participants up to the hourly rate for the support (half of the loaded limit for therapy). With prior agreement, non-labour travel costs can include flights and accommodation.

Isolated Towns Modification List (Type 1): 17 enclaves treated as remote

Schedule 11 of the NDIS Pricing Schedule 2026-27 lists these NDIA enclaves. Each one is surrounded by remote or very remote areas, so it is re-classified as remote for planning and pricing, and remote prices apply.

The schedule marks Gunbalanya (NT) as re-classified as a very remote area for pricing and planning.

Is Broken Hill remote for NDIS pricing?

Yes. Broken Hill (2880) is on the Isolated Towns Modification List (Type 1) in Schedule 11 of the Pricing Schedule 2026-27, so remote price limits apply there.

How do I find the MMM category for an address?

Use the Department of Health’s Health Workforce Locator, then check the isolated towns lists in Schedule 11. Our remote area checker does both for a town or postcode.
