There are two kinds of transport funding. If your support worker drives you to an activity, the vehicle costs are claimed as activity based transport from the same support category as the activity, and the worker’s time is claimed at the support rate. Travel training to learn public transport is funded in Capacity Building.
Many participants also have a transport budget paid to them directly as a periodic payment (02_051), which they use for taxis, rideshare and fuel; providers can’t claim that budget. We explain the options and set out any transport costs in your service agreement. We do not guarantee funding outcomes.
Per-kilometre vehicle costs are agreed in your service agreement. See the price guide.
