How NDIS gardening is funded

Does the NDIS pay for gardening and lawn mowing?

Yes, where it is reasonable and necessary. Garden and lawn maintenance is funded from your Core Supports budget under Assistance with Daily Life, using the house or yard maintenance support item. It is generally available when your disability stops you from doing the work yourself and no one else in your household can reasonably do it.

The NDIS funds everyday upkeep that keeps your home safe and liveable. Landscaping, new garden designs, tree removal and other one-off improvements are usually not funded. We work with plan-managed and self-managed participants, and we do not guarantee funding outcomes.

2026-27 price limit (national, weekday per hour)

The NDIA is lifting this limit to $63.42 an hour from 1 December 2026. We charge at or under the limit and show it on every invoice. See the price guide.
