NDIS Price Guide 2026-27

NDIS sleepover rates and codes 2026-27

Last updated 24 October 2026 · NDIS Pricing Schedule 2026-27 · By Sarah M., Support Coordinator
In short
  • A night-time sleepover is claimed as one unit for the night, not by the hour. The NDIS Pricing Schedule 2026-27 lists 4 sleepover items, all at $311.79 national, $436.51 remote and $467.69 very remote.
  • The sleepover price includes up to two hours of active support during the night. A third or later hour is claimed on top: at the Saturday price on weekdays, or at the price for that day on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
  • There is no night-time sleepover item for nurses.
  • Price limits are the most a provider can charge NDIA-managed and plan-managed participants. Providers can charge less, and self-managing participants are not bound by price limits.

When the sleepover price applies

  • A night-time sleepover is a support where the shift starts before midnight and finishes after midnight, runs for 8 hours or more without a break, and the worker is allowed to sleep when they are not giving support. It can be on any day of the week, including public holidays.
  • The worker gives support during the night when it is needed and can sleep the rest of the time. The sleepover item covers up to two hours of active support across the night.
  • If the worker gives three or more hours of active support, the third and later hours are claimed separately: at the Saturday price on a weekday night (for example 01_013_0107_1_1 for standard personal care), or at the price for that day on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday.
  • If the worker is not allowed to sleep, the shift is shorter than 8 hours or it does not cross midnight, it is not a sleepover: claim the hours with the time-of-day item, for example weekday night 01_002_0107_1_1.
  • There is no night-time sleepover item for nurses.
  • What decides the item is when the support is delivered to the participant, not the worker’s shift under their award or agreement. Work out the day first, then the time of day.
