In short
NDIS nursing rates for 2026-27 are in Schedule 3 of the NDIS Pricing Schedule 2026-27, which lists 66 items: 60 nursing items for 5 types of nurse, each in 6 time bands, and other labour supports such as house cleaning and yard maintenance.
A registered nurse is $128.05 an hour on a weekday during the day (01_606_0114_1_1), $182.75 on Saturdays and $237.43 on public holidays.
Nursing supports have their own weekday time bands (daytime, evening and night are defined differently from support workers), and there is no sleepover item for nurses.
Price limits are the most a provider can charge NDIA-managed and plan-managed participants. Providers can charge less, and self-managing participants are not bound by price limits.

When nursing supports are claimed
A weekday daytime support for a nurse: it starts before 12 noon on a weekday and finishes the same day, and it is not a public holiday, weekday evening or weekday night support.
A weekday evening support for a nurse: it starts at or after 12 noon on a weekday and finishes after 6:00 pm the same day, and the day is not a public holiday.
A weekday night support for a nurse: it starts at or after 6:00 pm on a weekday and finishes before 7:30 am the next day, and it is not a public holiday support.
Saturday, Sunday and public holiday nursing supports follow the same whole-day rules as support workers.
If a support does not fit within one time band, claim it as two or more separate supports, one for each band. The exception: when the same worker delivers the whole support, the higher of the price limits applies to all of it, and the provider must discuss this billing with the participant. There is no night-time sleepover item for nurses.
The nursing items cover disability-related health supports that relate directly to the participant’s significant and permanent functional impairment and help with daily living: for example dysphagia, respiratory, nutrition, diabetes, continence, wound and pressure care, podiatry and epilepsy supports.
Health supports that do not relate to the disability, or are not needed regularly, stay with the health system. If the need becomes acute, care is given in hospital or another health setting, not claimed from the plan.
The nurse type follows the Nurses Award 2020 classification: enrolled nurse, registered nurse level 1, clinical nurse (RN2), clinical nurse consultant (RN3 or higher) or nurse practitioner.
Short notice cancellation: if the participant gives less than 2 clear business days’ notice or does not show up, the provider can claim up to 100% of the agreed fee, as long as it could not find other billable work for the worker, has to pay the worker for that time (unless it is a sole trader or partnership), and the service agreement sets out the cancellation terms. Providers can waive the fee or offer better terms.
Delivered to a group at the same time: the price limit for each participant is the item’s price limit divided by the number of people in the group, and the provider claims for each participant for the full time of the support.

What is the NDIS registered nurse rate for 2026-27?
$128.05 an hour on a weekday during the day (01_606_0114_1_1 or 15_406_0114_1_3), $141.27 in the evening, $182.75 on Saturdays, $210.09 on Sundays and $237.43 on public holidays.
Is there a sleepover rate for nurses?
No. The Pricing Arrangements say there is no night-time sleepover item for nurses, so overnight nursing is claimed by the hour with the nursing night items.
Why are there two codes for each nursing support?
Each nursing support is listed under Assistance with Daily Life (01_, Core) and under Improved Daily Living (15_, Capacity Building) with the same price limits. The support purpose digit at the end of the number shows the budget it is paid from.
